Choosing your first water pipe (Bong/Rig)
When choosing your first water pipe, it’s not always important to look for the flashiest piece on the shelf. Find the one that speaks to you and feels the most comfortable to use. Our team encourages functionality and has experience curating your perfect match.

Basic cleaning guide
When it comes to maintaining the cleanliness of your pieces, it’s important to know the basics. Water pipes NEED their water changed out after every session or daily, to prevent mold and bacteria growth. This is a simple and easy method to stay on top of grime:
- With the common smoke residue that accumulates on all smoking pieces, there’s many different cleaning solutions available. Formula 420 has worked great for over 25 years to clean flower residue off of glass. Come get some in store!
- With wax concentrates the residue can be a bit more difficult to clean off, but 90- 99% alcohol gets rid of any wax build up within your pieces. Also available at Happy Hut.
PIPES / BOWLS (DRY PIPES)
Pipes are some of the most traditional way to smoke any legal herb. While the term “Bowl” can be used to reference the piece on a bong in which the flower goes into, it’s also used to refer to the entirety of a given pipe. Bowls and dry pipes are popular for their simplicity as well. Users “pack a bowl” by filling up dry herb that’s been ground up or broken down into small pieces.
Once the bowl is full, it is smoked with a butane lighter or hemp wick for a cleaner hit.
CHILLUMS / ONE-HITTERS
Chillums and one hitters are also considered dry pipes but their functions are traditionally different. Much of the older generation can note that most of their first pieces were one-hitters due to their popularity when using loose tobacco.
Chillums are usually bigger than one-hitters but both of these pipes function like a reusable blunt/joint/cigarette/etc. One hitters are also quite popular because they allow the user simply one hit. A Chillum will provide more experienced tokers a few extra puffs. Chillums and one hitters became much more popular during the early 2000s as a way to show off during social sessions.

Nothing against our favorites such as Lookah and Yocan but we also have luxury brands and their replacement parts for devices such as:

Do you fix broken glass ?
No, we do not have any onsight glass blowers skilled enough to guarantee a functional repair and the cost often exceeds the value of the piece.
What's the difference between a banger and a bowl?
A banger is used for wax concentrates while a bowl is used for plant matter. Plant matter from a bowl requires direct contact with fire while a banger heats the material like a pot until the material vaporizes.
What size bowl/banger/adapter do I need?
Take a picture and we can tell you OR grab your ruler and measure the DIAMETER of the hole. Rigs/Bongs are usually 10-18mm across.
